Superinvestor Portfolios Q3 2024

Superinvestor Portfolios Q3 2024: Buffett, Pabrai, Spier, Li Lu, Burry, Daily Journal

I discuss the latest superinvestor stocks as of Q3 2024, including how Berkshire now has $325 billion in cash!

In the summer of 2024, Berkshire Hathaway reduced their Apple holdings by another 100 million shares to now having 300 million shares with a market value of $70 billion. Berkshire significantly reduced their Bank of America holdings down to a market value of $31.5 billion.

Why is Berkshire Hathaway hoarding so much cash? Could they be waiting for an opportunity to reallocate funds from an overvalued Apple into either other stocks or whole companies? Who knows!

But it’s interesting how Berkshire bought about $500 million of Dominos Pizza (DPZ)! As well as they invested into HEICO and POOLCORP.

Since Q1 2024, Daily Journal has not further reduced on their 4 holdings: Bank of America, Wells Fargo, US Bancorp, and Alibaba. It will soon be a year since Charlie Munger passed away.

Mohnish Pabrai remains significantly invested in materials and energy companies, and Guy Spier has somewhat followed Mohnish in buying into a couple of these companies too.

Meanwhile, the Warren Buffett of China, Li Lu, has substantially reduced his Apple shares. Is he following in Buffett’s footsteps?

Michael Burry keeps adding to his Chinese eCommerce tech stock positions, including in BABA, JD.com, and Baidu.
