Charlie Munger, the best friend of Warren Buffett and Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, has sadly passed away about a month before he would have been 100 on January 1st. I share my tributary thoughts including my favorite quotes by Charlie.
“The best thing a human being can do is to help another human being know more.”
“Diversification is for the know-nothing investor.”
“All intelligent investing is value investing — acquiring more than you are paying for.”
One key lesson I will remember is Warren Buffett had said that in the entirety of their relationship, they had never had an argument. If we can live in a similar way and practice kindness and knowledge-sharing, we are bound to become better investors like Charlie taught us to be.
Thank you Charlie for all your wisdom and may you rest in peace.
